SHAMSIDAR BAKAL SINGKAP SALAH LAKU SEKS ANWAR

Image
Kini Anwar bakal menghadapi satu lagi proses p

LET HADI SPEAKS ON TV ALONE ON HIS EDICT, ONLY ON THAT SUBJECT BECAUSE HE IS NOT CAPABLE OF SPEAKING ON ISLAMIC ECONOMY AND ADMINISTRATION

Image
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said he wanted an hour on air without any disturbances…meaning no interruptions or questions during his talk or whatever one calls it…explanation. Hadi will explain everything about his edict that split Muslims right down the political divide as well as terming or calling Umno infidel. An edict that was aimed at demeaning Umno so that the Malays who are Muslims support the Islamic party, Hadi had taken the advantage of the Malays who were not well knowledgeable in Islam at that time to his side. 20 years later, the Malays, very knowledgeable on Islam and laws, begin to question Hadi's edict and wanted him to explain clearly what it is all about…why Hadi termed Umno kafir just because the country's administration is based on the Western style which incorporates Islam. Hadi is actually not a debater nor a politician…he is just a religious teacher who preaches according to his own interpretation, repeat, his own interpretation, and no one can quest

ANWAR BINGUNG DUNIA PUJI KEPIMPINAN NAJIB

Image
Pujian p

Malaysia among world’s top 10 tourist destinations

MALAYSIA was one of the world's top 10 tourist destinations last year, making it the only South-East Asian country to make the list in the United Nations World Trade Organisation (UNWTO) Tourism Highlights 2012. In 2009, the country recorded 23.6 million tourists arrival and in 2010, the number increased to 24.6 million. Topping the list was France with 79 million tourist arrivals, followed by United States (62 million), China (58 million), Spain (57 million), Italy (46 million), Turkey (29.3 million), United Kingdom (29.2 million) and Germany (28.4 million). Rounding up the top 10 was Mexico with 23.4 million tourists. The report also ranked Malaysia 14th in terms of international tourism receipts with US$ 18.3bil (RM56.3bil) last year, ahead of countries such as Singapore, Japan, the Netherlands, Korea and Canada. In 2009 and 2010, Malaysia recorded US$ 15.8bil (RM48.6bil) and US$ 18.2bil (RM55.9bil) respectively in tourism receipts. In congratulating tourism players

Gaga over goose on Thanksgiving

Image
In her second Advent-themed instalment, our columnist shares another story of brotherly love that has spawned a tradition, this one involving a certain farmyard fowl. IT'S the season to gorge on goose. It might be safe to say that this is the German version of the wider-known American Thanksgiving tradition of basting and baking large farmyard fowl in the month of November. While Thanksgiving (as the name suggests) prompts people to be thankful for life's bounty, the German celebration commemorates the good deeds of Saint Martin. Hence, even the goose ( gans in German) that is served is called Martinsgans and the goose eating period begins each year on Nov 11, which is St Martin's Day. Martin of Tours was a soldier who had served the Roman army under Emperor Constantine. He would later become a follower of a new religion that had begun spreading during his tenure in the army, namely Christianity. The legend goes that on a cold day, Martin encountered a shivering,

Hamidah dares Ngeh to give details on Kelantan land deal

IPOH: State DAP  chairman Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham has been challenged to disclose the amount paid by his company for a piece of land in Kelantan. State exco member  Datuk Hamidah Osman said Ngeh had been evading the issue although the matter was raised at the last state assembly sitting. "He should come out and tell the truth," Hamidah told journalists after closing the Perak Book Fair 2012 here yesterday. At the last sitting, Hamidah alleged that Ngeh and state DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming had received a piece of land from the Kelantan Government after  Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin from PAS was made Mentri Besar in 2008. Ngeh had on his blog said the company  Upayapadu Plantation Sdn Bhd had acquired the land in the open market. He also claimed that Deputy Plantation Industries and Commo dities Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin had been informed of the acquisition and that no logging activities were carried out on the land. He said the company was involved

NGEH’s ARROGANCE SHOULD PROMPT MACC AND KARPAL TO ACT FAST, OR ELSE BOTH LOSE CREDIBILITY

Image
Under public scrutiny, Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham bluntly and without hesitation said it was none of the public's business on where he obtained the money to buy the land in Kelantan. And arrogantly to MACC he said: "Show us you are impartial first before we can have any confidence in them." Obviously the cousins Ngeh and Nga are arrogant in their replies as they feel they are on top of the world, nobody can 'touch' them in this deal with Kelantan government. Ngeh has been propagating transparency, translucent and whatever trans….probably plus transgender and what not…and when it comes to him, he said THE PUBLIC HAS NO BUSINES TO ASK WHERE HE GOT THE MONEY TO DO HIS BUSINESS. The 'shit' he said it was none of the public's business to know when he is himself holding a public office, elected by the people and was at one time a state exco member. He has no right whatsoever to tell the public its none of the public's business to know where he got th

Tiang-tiang Kemenangan Pakatan Rakyat Mula Runtuh

Image

Pakatan Rakyat Is Beginning To Lose

Image
Ever since they won a few states during the 2008 election, Pakatan Rakyat has been very busy with politics trying to take over yet a few other states for the coming election. PR put their whole soul in tarnishing BN's image as well as making more and more promises. Not just with their ceramah, they also look out for gap to demonstrate. For the whole term, PR's 'work' can be seen through their various demonstrations organized by NGOs which would use one another to achieve the same target, to bring down BN government. Few of them include Bersih 2.0 on July 2011, Bersih 3.0 April 28, 2012, Himpunan Janji Demokrasi on the eve of August 31, 2012, a few series of Himpunan Hijau going against Lynas, Himpunan Royalti Minyak Kelantan, Himpunan 901, series of Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat, series of Himpunan Oren going against FGVH's listing and a whole lot of others. Looking at such strategy, we could expect that PR's political momentum would rise up as the election draw

Guan Eng should bear responsibility over violence towards media

31 December 2012 Press statement by Wanita MCA Chairman, Dato' Yu Chok Tow Guan Eng should bear responsibility over violence towards media It is a shame that DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng has failed to set a good example as a high ranking leader. Before this, Guan Eng had also expressed anger over certain issues which were reported and had even threatened to sue the reporters and this has directly resulted in his party members and supporters to lose all respect for journalists. Thus, it is only right for Guan Eng to take responsibility over the beating of a reporter from Guang Ming Daily. Before this, another DAP member Hew Kuan Yau had also insulted reporters by referring to them as prostitutes. Despite many protests and objections by various quarters, no action was taken against Hew Kuan Yau and DAP turned a blind eye to his actions. Therefore, because of the DAP leadership's inaction, this has caused people to lose respect for the media resulting with jour

Journalist beaten up at PPS centre

GEORGE TOWN: A journalist covering a suspected suicide case claimed he was assault by two members of the voluntary patrol unit (PPS) set up by the Penang Government in Perak Lane here. Guang Ming Daily deputy crime chief Ang Kean Siang, 32, suffered injuries to his lips, chest, abdomen and groin after he was allegedly punched and kicked by them at the unit's makeshift operations centre. Ang, who has since lodged a police report, said one of them damaged his camera by slamming it on the floor. "They threatened me, saying that I won't be able to walk out from Perak Lane even if I had deleted all the photographs from my camera. "Two of them attacked me while two others kept watch. They were aged between 20 and 50," he said outside the Patani Road police station yesterday. Ang said he had earlier gone to an apartment in that area after a 39-year-old woman, identified as Tan Lee Kean, had fallen to her death at about 12.30am yesterday. He said he was ta

Anti Lynas: Mogok Lapar Atau Berlagak Lapar? Kan Dah Kantoi…

Image
Kebetulannya angka

Violence against reporters unreasonable; Pakatan’s double standards must cease

Image
31 December 2012 Press statement by MCA Penang Secretary & MCA Bukit Mertajam Division chairman Lau Chiek Tuan Violence against reporters unreasonable; Pakatan's double standards must cease The regrettable incident where Guan Ming Daily reporter Ang Kian Seang was attacked whilst covering a story can be attributed to the Pakatan state government's practice of preventing media freedoms to avert negative news of Penang state from making the news, which now has resulted with violent behaviour against reporters. Although Pakatan claims to support press freedoms, they obviously hold double standards whereby news coverage is only limited to reports which are positive and give an advantage to their state government. Once any news convey any negative message, Pakatan will suppress all aspects, including having their supporters use the media to slander their opponents with vulgar language and then turn a blind eye. It should be pointed out that violence against Guan Mi

A successful year for tourism

PETALING JAYA: Industry players have described 2012 as a successful year for the country's tourism sector and the many achievements and international accolades bestowed on Malaysia is a reflection of its long list of accomplishments. Kudos, they say, should go to the Tourism Ministry and its  minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen for the tireless efforts to further promote the country to the world with new and "out of the box" tourism creations and innovations. Industry players are confident the tourism achievements recorded this year will be a boon for both the industry and them especially in facing competition from other destinations. Malaysia Tourist Guide Council  president Jimmy Leong said the ministry has taken steps in the right direction by coming up with new and exciting packages and tourism products to lure more tourists to the country. He said the recognition received by Malaysia as the ninth most visited country in the world by the United Nations World

Chua: Don’t limit rebate to phones which cost below RM500

Image
KUALA LUMPUR: The RM200 rebate for smartphones should not be limited to devices which cost RM500 and below, says the MCA. Party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said putting a ceiling price of RM500 would result in youths purchasing low-grade products instead of the better quality ones. "We want to optimise smartphone usage among youths," he said, adding that it would be better if the ceiling price was abolished. On a separate matter, Dr Chua condemned pro-Umno bloggers for twisting casual remarks he made during a closed-door gathering recently. "They were not interested in helping MCA but trying to get a scoop," said the MCA president during the Dong Zhi reunion dinner at the Cheers Palace restaurant in Cheras here. He blamed a blogger for publishing his remarks against his predecessor Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat . At the meeting with a group of pro-Umno bloggers on Wednesday, Dr Chua was reported to have accused Ong of sabotaging him through

MCA charity drive raises RM595,000 for school

Bowled over: Guests enjoying the fish head noodles at the charity sale. KUALA LUMPUR: The fish head noodles cost at least RM100 per bowl but it was for a very good cause. A charity sale of fish head noodles organised by MCA National Youth in Jalan Beruang here managed to raise RM595,888 for the construction of SM Chong Hwa in Kuantan. "Our target was RM50,000. But today, with the overwhelming support from the public, we have far exceeded that target. This is a record," MCA Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong said yesterday. He presented a mock cheque of the sale proceeds to Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia president Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah . Wee said about 500 visitors and sponsors visited the stall from 8am to 2pm to buy the noodles, which were priced at RM100, RM500 and RM1,000. Visitors included Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and radio deejay Jack Lim. Wee said they had organised about 13 fund-raising events for the school so far, w

Kar Huah opts out of GE13

GEORGE TOWN: Penang MCA adviser Datuk Koay Kar Huah (pic) has opted out as a candidate for the coming general election, saying it is time to give the younger leaders a chance. Koay, who is also the Bukit Gelugor Barisan Nasional coordinator and the MCA division head, said the young are raring for a chance to serve the community. "The party should have younger leaders to lead the way," he said. Despite ruling himself out, Koay said he would continue to serve the party as long as he could. Earlier, during the Bukit Gelugor MCA dinner, Koay emphasised the importance of unity within a party and called on the members to be more aggressive in carrying out their duties. "If we can work hard and be united on all fronts, we can win back Penang." During the dinner, Koay also gave recognition to the division treasurer Wong Kok Wai, for his four years of service as the welfare officer. The division also gave out RM200 each to members whose babies were b

Thank you, 2012

It is the last day of 2012. Many events happened for the year. For us at BigDogDotCom, it has been a very good and memorable year indeed. Our article on the 'Ghost of Johor' drew a lot of attention. It started a series of articles written by other bloggers about Johor and drew even more attention, which many talked about. Enough to be asked to 'come for dinner '. Then, we were also reunited with an old blogging brother. It was nice to meet up with Raja Petra our common Malaysian favourite in the heart of West End. Doa for heroes of Bukit Chandu: (dari kiri) Brig Gen Rahim, PAT Jen Tan Sri Zulkifli, Defense Minister Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Dpeuty Minister Dato' Dr Latif Ahmad & President of Royal Malay Regt Club 2012 had some of our proudest moments. We witnessed for the first time the Malaysian Defense Minister officially paid homage on the Remembrance Day of the 70th anniversary , to the gallant heroes of 1st Federated Malay Regimen

The smartphone game app-eal

'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' may be a child's game, yet many adults are hooked on the smartphone freemium. It is so addictive that people stop conversations midstream just to get on with the game. LET me tell you my dirty little secret. I own a restaurant, toy shop, ice-cream shop, flower shop, bookstore, bowling alley, day spa, house of hats, carrot farm, cherry stand, apple stand, corn stand, mane salon and windmill. And I possess 29 little ponies (with names such as Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Octavia, Applejack and Splitfire) that work slavishly in my business empire. I own a town called Ponyville. It is a virtual town in a game called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that I religiously play on the iPad. (How religious? As I'm typing this I'm monitoring Ponyville to see which of my enterprises has made money). The game is an adaptation of the popular children's TV show called My Little Pony . It's objective, according to Ga
