Writing as a way to leave a legacy of your thoughts!

When the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam (May peace be upon him) first received the Revelations of the Al-Qur'an Al Karim verbatim from the Archangel Jibreel Alaihis Salam ( Upon him be peace), he was forced to memorize it by Jibreel Alaihis Salam! Being an unlettered person @ not having learned as to how to read or write, the Prophet was obviously alarmed and at a loss on being asked to 'read' by Jibreel Alaihis Salam who came to the Blessed Prophet in the form of a bright, shining light and illuminated the small dark cave high above the mountains of Makkah! Imagine how it must have been for the blessed Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam? Naturally, he was stressed out by such an experience! Who wouldn't?  As the Prophet hurried down the mountain and rushed home shivering to seek the solace and comfort of his wife Sayyidatina Khadijah Radhiallahu Anha, his wife reassured the Prophet that he being who he is will not be burdened by God Almighty and that he sh

Lajim Memang Tunggu Kena Pecat

July 31, 2012   ·   3 Comments POLITIK lanun macam Lajim Ukin bukan susah sangat nak dibaca.

RM7 Billion Ampang LRT Line Contract Goes to... Puchong Brass Pipes Manufacturer!

Image
The long-delayed Ampang Line contract has finally been announced and the big winner is the George Kent-Lion Pacific joint venture (JV), Bernama reports .  This will also be the start to a new controversy that will surely be exploited to the maximum by Pakatan Rakyat due to claims that hidden hands had pulled the strings and allowed the contract to be awarded to company that is alleged to be incapable of handling such a big project. Shares of the usually-quiet George Kent (GKent Code: 3204) had seen several upswings in its price over the past few weeks on rumours that it was being awarded the contract (See the price movement at The Star here ). Each time, the company would claim to be "in the dark" and the price would come down again. The last upswing started on July 16 which saw the price rising from 0.99 to 1.07. It gradually dropped back to 0.99 when the company denied the report. But now that it's officially confirmed, this award will become a hot issue. There are v

MCA wants employees to have options on EPF withdrawal

Image
MCA HQ, 31 July – The MCA Presidential Council had unanimously decided that private sector employees should be given the option to withdraw their Employee Provident Fund (EPF) at 55, said MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek at the press conference today after chairing the Presidential Council meeting at MCA Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Explaining that this was because many people were caught unaware of the extension of retirement age to 60, Soi Lek said that many people may already have made long term plans to retire at 60 and as such they should be given the flexibility to decide if they want to withdraw their EFP at 55 years or not, even more so during this transitional period. Listen to the people On another issue, Soi Lek also said that the Council had deliberated on the matter of allowing students to being handphones to school and had felt that the Ministry of Education should listen to the public over this, in particular the parents. Hudud a religious obligation for PAS, warns MCA

On the dotted line: People gathering to sign the petition against the plan to implement hudud law in Pasir Pinji market in Ipoh on 11 October 2011. MCA HQ, 31 July – Implementing hudud law is not merely a political agenda by PAS but it is a religious obligation for them said MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek today. Chiding DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng for saying that DAP and PAS can work together, Soi Lek brought up the separation of DAP from PAS in 2001, back when the opposition alliance was known as Barisan Alternatif. "In 3 January 2006, Guan Eng said that DAP will not return to Barisan Alternatif unless PAS rejects its Islamic state ambition," said Soi Lek, pointing out the contradicting stands taken by Guan Eng in a span of a mere 6 years. Dismissing allegations that certain quarters in UMNO wanted hudud as well, Soi Lek explained that these were just a few people who had come up with crazy ideas and wanted attention. "If it (wanting to i

Residents from Taman Bukit Teratai, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, using pails and other containers to collect water from a Syabas tanker. – By NORAFIFI EHSAN/THE STAR MCA HQ, 31 July – "Water, water, every where; Nor any drop to drink"; those immortal lines from Rime from the Ancient Mariner by 19 th century poet Samuel William Coleridge just about sum up the predicament that the Selangor state government has found itself in as MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek warns of an impending water crisis in 2 months after being briefed by water experts together with other members of the MCA Presidential Council. In order to prevent the briefing from being politicized, MCA had sought the views of impartial groups who had requested that their names be kept from the public as it might jeopardize their livelihood, and not from Selangor water-concessionaire Syabas or representatives of the Selangor state government. According to the MCA President, a sizable number of experts and

PANAS : MAHFUZ BERBOHONG SAMBUTAN HARI KOPERASI 2012 HAMBAR...

MCA urges authorities in China reconsider their RFID conditions for Malaysian bird’s nest exports

Image
MCA HQ, 31 July – The MCA Presidential Council urges Chinese authorities to re-examine export guidelines on birds nests from Malaysia. This was delivered by party President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Loi Sek who during a press conference held after the MCA Presidential Council had stressed that the health certificate and the veterinary health certificate qualifications for exports are "more than sufficient". Recently, Beijing introduced new medical and health requirements that limit nitrate content in bird's nests to no more than 30ppm, which has created financial difficulties for many birds nest farmers and exporters highly dependent on the sale of the good. Government officials are currently negotiating the ban and have voiced plans about going to China to talk to Chinese officials about the current restrictions. According to MCA Deputy President cum Minister of Health Dato' Seri Liow Tiong Lai, the Ministry of Health felt that what is most important is for the auth

PANAS : HATI NORA DANISH MILIK SHAHEIZY SAM?

Image
"Apabila timbul gosip mengai

Hudud Punca PR Gagal Ke Putrajaya – Karpal Singh

Image
Bertalu-talu pemimpin-pemimpin DAP membuat kenyataan menyanggah PAS berkaitan hudud.

Press statement by MCA Youth Publicity Bureau chief cum Selangor MCA Youth chairman Dr Kow Cheong Wei

31 July 2012 Press statement by MCA Youth Publicity Bureau chief cum Selangor MCA Youth chairman Dr Kow Cheong Wei "I would like to urge youths from all institutes of higher learning to have a wider comprehension of the international arena, and to grasp the current and future trends of world development in order to enhance their self-confidence and ability to play an important role in the nation's development." "Youths should be prepared to join the social community and to lead the country in the future, even though they are not living in Malaysia, but through globalization, whether they are in southern Asia, ASEAN or anywhere in the world. Their dynamics will affect the positioning of Malaysia." "We do not need to worry about political chaos in Malaysia. That is only a storm in a teacup. The most important thing is that youths will become our leaders in the future. Thus they must learn to distinguish right from wrong, and to lead our country wi

Lajim's planned departure hardly left a dent

Image
A lampoon picture from Sabahkini Last Sunday July 29th, Deputy Minister and UMNO's Supreme Council, Dato Lujim Ukin and UPKO's Deputy President, Dato Wilfred Bumburing announced their intention to join Pakatan Rakyat. Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim was there on stage with both of them. So did the whole entourage of PKR leaders  from Kuala Lumpur to provide the number to the not so filled to the brim crowd and to provide significance to the event. In his speech that some wrongly placed comment felt as amazing, Anwar described the rather too late-for-a-916 crossover as a "turning point in national politics." Is it really so? Will Lajim and Wilfred able to repeat the damage they contributed to end PBS rule in Sabah to revive BN but this time damage BN to help Pakatan Rakyat? The actors remain the same but age has caught up on all of them.  There is Anwar, claimed to have orchestrated to buy over of PBS assemblymen into BN in 1994. Still verile but is now 67. In a recent attem

HOT : RAKYAT NEGERI JOHOR DHAIF, KAYA DENGAN RASUAH...APA KATA ORANG JOHOR??

Image
Sambungnya, berlainan Kelantan negeri miskin tetapi rakyatnya kaya ra

Poor administration plays a part too, not just hudud

Image
Press Statement by MCA Kedah Chairman Dato' Chong Itt Chew Poor administration plays a part too, not just hudud DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh has gotten it wrong when he warned PAS to stop bringing up their stand or give contradictory positions on hudud law as it will dampen Pakatan's efforts to win the federal government. While hudud and PAS' hardline policies are indeed a major factor for concern among the electorates, it is not the only one. It is not merely about what PAS says or their aspirations which are worrisome for Malaysians, but the very fact that they are able to go around implementing their theocratic agenda on Muslims and non-Muslims alike in all four of the Pakatan-held states while their non-Muslims comrades in both DAP and PKR continue to keep silent which is another main source of concern. PAS' blatant disregard for non-Muslims In Kedah, the PAS state government obviously disregards DAP and PKR with the implementation of a steering co

PKR GE Meeting: PKR Lost Before Competing?

Image
PKR seems to be using 'rakyat' again in each of their activities and campaigns. Obviously, to face the election this time around, the name of rakyat would be raised up high as if rakyat is their main objective even though everything is for Anwar. During PKR's GE Meeting last year, the party had seek help from Merdeka Center, to test out a few slogans which they have prepared for GE13. They include: 1. Ubah Sekarang, Selamatkan Malaysia (Change Now, Save Malaysia) 2. Malaysia Baru, Muafakat Baru, Pimpinan Baru (New Malaysia, New Unity, New Leadership) 3. Demi Rakyat, Demi Masa Depan (For Rakyat, For Future) Along with PKR's excitement over the use of the word 'rakyat', they seems to be fond of using the third slogan, Demi Rakyat, Demi Masa Depan (For Rakyat, For Future) which for them really highlights the image of JUSTICE. The slogan was said to have gained positive responses from PKR's targeted voters who are the groups of youth, working c

Teresa Kok must disclose ALL agreements, information & not play selective

Image
31 July, MCA HQ – Owing to the contradictory positions put forward by DAP's elected representatives Tony Pua and Selangor exco Teresa Kok, MCA urges Teresa Kok and the Pakatan-led Selangor state to fully disclose every agreement signed between the Selangor administration, its subsidiary agencies or state government-linked firms with Talam Corporation. This point was driven home by MCA Young Professionals Chairman Datuk Chua Tee Yong at a press conference convened at the Council Chamber of Wisma MCA. "Tony Pua had repeatedly mentioned that under BN, no effort is being carried out to collect the debts from Talam and the debts are hidden" remarked Tee Yong before pointing out the contradiction by the Selangor exco Teresa Kok who in her press release had claimed that the Selangor state government was tied to all agreements which Talam had signed with BN. Teresa Kok selective disclosure of information and agreements To a reporter's question, on what the agreement d
