DPM: Resolve issues through consultations

Barisan Nasional and Umno leaders at all levels must resolve issues through consultations to avoid ill-feeling.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who said this, added that the process of meetings and discussions were crucial for any problem to be understood and resolved.
"There will always be those who will try to destroy the good relations that exist among us. Tension and political instability work to their advantage," he said before breaking fast with state ministers, local leaders as well as Kampung Likas folk at Masjid Jamek.
Muhyiddin said the consultative approach was not only taught in Islam but also by all religions as this promoted goodwill.
He also told the gathering that the Federal Government wanted to see Sabah's development agenda continue unabated.
He said a prerequisite of this was political stability and harmony among the diverse communities in the state, reminding them that Sabah had achieved much under Barisan.
He also noted that from his previous visits to the state, he had seen the preparedness of Sabah Barisan for the coming general election.
Earlier, Muhyiddin and Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman visited 176 stalls at the Ramadan bazaar in Taman Indah Permai.
