Team reaches out to new BR1M applicants
November saw the Kempen Jom Daftar BR1M 2.0 on the road to help get Malaysians registered.
The previous Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) 1.0 initiative saw the Pasukan Khidmat 1Malaysia helping 7,850 applicants apply for BR1M 1.0 with 80% of them being able to receive their RM500 voucher.
For BR1M 2.0, Datuk Theng Book led the Pasukan Khidmat 1Malaysia around Bandar Tun Razak in order to reach more applicants.
From Nov 5 to 19, the team visited 15 out of the planned 22 locations and registered around 2,500 new applicants.
Following the criteria set out for BR1M, the team found that 70% of the registrants were family heads who were applying for their RM500 aid while the remaining 30% were individuals applying for their RM250 aid.
The team will be helping out with other projects such as the Service Station of Seputeh's Nicole Wong and the mobile medical screening of the 1MCA Medical Foundation.
To reach more Malaysians who will benefit from the cash aid, the team continued its efforts to the hawker centre at the low-cost housing area of Bandar Tun Razak where it was joined by the 1MCA Medical Foundation's mobile medical screening.
