UPM claims student leaders identified

SERDANG, Feb 24 Police have identified five Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) students as the leaders responsible for a riot at the university's administration building here yesterday.Speaking to reporters here today, Serdang police chief Supt Abdul Razak Elias said the university's administration and two security guards injured in the incident had lodged polcie reports on the matter and that the five would be called in for questioning soon.Some 200 students of the university rioted at the building after they were dissatisfied that 11 candidates from their faction who won in the campus' polls were disqualified.
