Old-style politics and Utusan are on the way out

I refer to your report, ‘Zunar tears up Utusan with words’. Well said Zunar. Utusan is in every word an Umno newletter. It’s only mission is to portray Umno as the single party that could rule this country and its main objective is to run down any opposition to it.

What the world is witnessing is the demise of political parties that were born during the pre and post World War II period. Umno, MCA and MIC are in this category and in a precarious position despite the fact that they are putting up a brave front.

People all over the world are fighting for change and are discarding old-style politics. Even if Umno survives the next federal election, they and their component parties will not be able to sustain their power for long.

The only way BN can survive is by becoming a single political party rather then a coalition of parties. Sarawak will lead the way to the demise of BN. Utusan will have to face reality and accept professional journalism and not remain as a mouthpiece of Umno or face closure soon.
