Mischief making typical of DAP to mask their practice of condoning uncivilised behaviour

Press Statement by Sdr Chong Sin Woon, Chief of MCA National Youth Education Bureau

Mischief making typical of DAP to mask their practice of condoning uncivilised behaviour

It is regrettable that throughout this time, DAP has donned the role of mischief maker aimed at misleading the public with by portraying itself as an innocent party. This is a crafty tactic to mask their mischief, especially on matters pertaining to education.

It should be highlighted that DAP has all the while condoning the culture of verbal abuse. This is evidenced when their General Election preparation chief Hew Kuan Yew had vilified journalists as "compensated dating" which likened the media corp as prostitutes. DAP Perak Secretary Nga Kor Ming had also disdained dark complexion people as "black metallic b—st—rd." Despite all these verbal slights, DAP has never given importance to national issues affecting the rakyat.

Although MCA had on several occasions requested DAP to make its stand clear, DAP had always given an excuse that it was their internal party problem which they could solve by themselves.  Similarly, the Rocket denied that the physical intimidation against Datuk Dr Ir Wee Ka Siong during the 325 assembly organized by Dong Zong had occurred.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. DAP has always condoned the culture of uncouth behaviour. As long as their opine that such rowdiness will benefit Pakatan Rakyat, they will allow their supporters and members to challenge the BN in whatever way they can.  Under such a situation, if they were to discover that there are people who do criticise the opposition, then they will also try in whatever way possible to prevent them from criticising.

Roundtable discussions, not rowdiness to solve problems affecting Chinese education

Restraint must be exercised at all time. Uncivilised behaviour, vulgarism, uncontrolled street demonstrations, back-biting and racialism must be halted. These actions will not help solve the problems affecting the development of Chinese education in Malaysia. On the contrary, such emotional situations will cause the situation to grow from bad to worse. They certainly will not resolve the problem of teacher shortage in Chinese primary schools.

DAP misused the 325 rally to achieve their political aims.  Neither have they ever sincerely tried to resolve the problem of teachers shortage in Chinese primary schools. All they can do is to make use of the issue to launch attacks on MCA.  All this while, our party has insisted that after the rally, round table talks should resume to find a way to help solve the problems amicably.  We would also like to urge all supporters of Chinese education to reject these opportunists so as not to allow them to achieve their political aims. I wish to affirm that we must all stand united and work hand in hand for the betterment of Chinese education in the country.
