Dong Zong should not simply opposed as the establishment of the Chinese independent school is more important

Dong Zong chairman and deputy chairman Dr Yap Sin Tian and Chow Siew Hon should be rebuked for constantly criticizing MCA in front of the media and turning the establishment of a Chinese independent school in Kuantan into a war of words. They have completely ignored their responsibility, which is to help with the establishment of the school, and this is contrary to Dong Zong's main purpose.

First they had criticized the government, saying that it will not give approval for a Chinese independent school in Kuantan, and after the government gave its approval they start to complain about the dual-education system which incorporates both UEC style examinations and government style curriculum. After the formal approval letter by the Ministry of Education was given, the both of them then start to find fault with the way the letter was worded, claiming that the school will not be a Chinese independent school.  Their actions in opposing these efforts are only an attempt to mislead the Chinese community.

While Dong Zong claims to be politically neutral, that is obviously not the case, as Yap Sin Tian has demanded the resignation of MCA Youth National Chairman Datuk Dr Ir Wee Ka Siong from his post of Deputy Minister of Education with the excuse that he does not trust Wee Ka Siong.

Wee Ka Siong plays an important role in bringing the gap between the Education Ministry and the Chinese community, and is responsible for the setting up of the Kuantan Chinese independent school. But yet, he receives no credit despite having to elbow his way through to get the approval. Dong Zong remains ungrateful and continues to discredit and criticize him when instead they should sit back and reflect where would they be on the Kuantan Chinese school issue if not for MCA's help?

In order for the Kuantan Chinese independent school to be set up as soon as possible for the sake of the Chinese community there, Chow Siew Hon should immediately stop his attacks and his calls to unseat Wee Ka Siong. Moreover, Dong Zong has no right to comment on the establishment of the Kuantan Chinese independent school issue as they were not involved in the working committee. Besides that, they should also not try to claim credit for the school as earlier on they had refused to be involved in the process.
