Libyas new government recognised

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 Malaysia now recognises Libyas National Transitional Council (NTC) as the legitimate interim government.

Malaysia is hopeful that NTC, seen to have the support of many Libyans, would lead the nation to unity, reconciliation, inclusivity and reconstruction, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman was quoted by Bernama Online to have said.

Mustafa Abdul Jalil and Mahmoud Jibril head the NTC.

Anifah said that forces loyal to deposed dictator Muammar Gaddafi should move towards peace under the new administration.
