MCA Penang DAP Penang Chairman call to settle rifts internally gross violation of CAT

I am saddened that despite my humble call to Penang DAP leaders to prioritise the rakyats welfare, such pleas have fallen on deaf ears where another personality, DAP Penang chairman Chow Kon Yeow has joined in the latest war of words.

His rebuke against Jeff Oois public outburst and demanding that such disagreements be settled within the party framework is a gross violation of the Pakatan Rakyat governments famed Competency, Accountability and Transparency motto because the crux of the issue i.e. affordable housing for the poor is a rakyat dilemma.

DAPs factionalism

It is obvious that factionalism is taking root within DAP Penang with Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi being aligned with Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, in direct conflict against Chow who quickly runs to state Housing Committee chairman Wong Hon Wais defence.

Arrogance has reared its ugly head that since coming to power, DAP legislators do not know how to set aside their personal differences, resulting with the rakyats welfare being sidelined.

Chief Ministers silence deafening

I am also baffled with Chief Minister YAB Lim Guan Eng not having said anything or taken any action to resolve this childish public debacle amongst his fellow party members and government policy makers. Is he trying to retain his waning popularity among his ranks by remaining mute?

And the poor continue to be homeless

Addressing the issue of not a single low-cost being built must! be the main priority. That no tractors have begun laying foundation works nor not one mortar brick has been cemented to another to begin alleviating the plight of the homeless indicate that DAP legislators are more obsessed with personality clashes than looking after the welfare of the rakyat they claim to represent.

7 months have already passed and it looks like 2011 will follow the preceding years since Pakatan Rakyat won Penang state at the 12th general elections whereby chances of constructing low-cost housing are zilch.

Pakatan Rakyat can introduce grandiose theories like their Common Policies Framework or Buku Jingga, but they remain NATO (No Action Talk Only).
