DAP too busy to lead Pakatan, and afraid that big brothers in Pakatan unhappy
As the analysis by the Asian Strategic and Leadership Institute (ASLI) is not favourable to DAP, the latter has criticized the former as being closer to Barisan Nasional. This indicates that DAP totally disrespects the findings and value of an NGO, and refuses to accept a differing opinion.
If the organization's report had benefitted the party or Pakatan, DAP would definitely have praised the analysis and proclaim the organization as neutral and that the report is convincing.
ASLI's analysis had reported that BN would win 123 Parliament seats in the approaching general election and would continue to govern the country. At the same time, ASLI predicted that DAP would win 35~40 seats federal seats, 28 more seats compared to 2008 and become the "boss" of Pakatan.
Fearing that the ASLI analysis would anger PAS and PKR, Tony Pua immediately clarified that it was impossible for DAP to become the biggest party within Pakatan.
DAP keeps saying that the three parties in Pakatan share the same status but in face, by Tony Pua's own words, DAP is the "smallest" party in their pact. They are afraid that PKR and PAS would be unhappy. Hence, DAP dares not clamour for more seats and just about merits because they are aware that it is not easy to fight for the rights of the Chinese community.
