Hypocritical of DAP to chant slogans of environment protection when their leaders clear forest reserves, thus destroying mother earth
DAP' Manifesto of environmental protection should be soundly criticised as they are nothing more than empty promises to fish votes. In reality, DAP has wrecked severe damage to the environment and depleted green lungs. DAP is an absolutely hypocritical party – saying one thing, but performing the exact opposite.
Berita Harian (27 Dec 2012) reported that a large portion of the 4,000 hectares of Sungai Relai Forest Reserve in Gua Musang, Kelantan has been logged by a firm which the DAP Perak Chairman Dato' Ngeh Koo Ham is believed to control. The logging activities commenced in April this year and photographs show that the hilly terrain has been stripped bear.
The said article also reported that the logging activities allegedly have caused serious pollution in nearby areas, river pollution, thus causing hardship to the villagers.
DAP merely says one thing, and paradoxically acts on the contrary. They have repeatedly extolled environment protection, and have promised to implement green policies. However, since governing Penang state, major hillslope development projects have been carried out, thus depleting the environment. And now, Ngeh's company is purportedly responsible for logging activities in Kelantan, thereby bringing destruction to Kelantan's forest reserves. DAP preaches tirelessly regarding safeguarding the environment, but they are thousands of miles apart from practising it.
DAP's so-called anti-pollution stance is purely a performance. They are simply hypocrites acting entirely on political interests. Now that DAP has stakes in this personal interest of theirs, the concept of looking after the environment is shoved completely behind.
