RM50,000 allocation for Sungai Pinang Kecil temple

LUMUT MP Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha (third from right ) presenting a cheque for RM50,000 to Sungai Pinang Kecil Chia Liang Kok temple committee chairman Poh Oo Seng (third from left) at the Pangkor jetty last Sunday.

The allocation would go towards the temple's building fund to construct a new three-storey building costing RM2mil.

Poh said the current building was too cramped to conduct various big scale activities.

"We have close to 500 members on the island and so, we need a larger hall to carry out religious activities and celebrations.

"The allocation will greatly ease our burden," he said, adding that the committee would be holding various activities to raise the remaining sum required.
