3×3 basketball tourney on Sunday

The 2012 Kelana Jaya parliamentary constituency 3×3 basketball tournament will be held on Sunday at Mydin USJ1, Persiaran Subang Mewah, Subang Jaya.
It is organised by the Kelana Jaya parliamentary constituency coordinator Ong Chong Swen's office together with the Subang Jaya Basketball Club.
The event will kick off at 8.30am, followed by an opening ceremony at 9.30am by Deputy Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz.
The tournament's objectives include encouraging youths to participate in more outdoor activities, promoting the 3×3 basketball format, celebrating National Day and Malaysia Day with youths, and providing a platform for the youths with a common interest to get to know each other.
All male Malaysians under 16 years old are eligible to participate (a photocopy of the IC is required as proof).
Participation is limited to 30 teams, with each team comprising three players.
Registration fee is RM30 per team.
The tournament offers cash prizes totalling RM1,000 and medals for the top four teams, including RM400 for the overall champion.
