A total of RM25,000 was raised from the Tiger Beer and CC Liew Cup charity golf championship at the Kinrara Golf Club in Puchong, Selangor recently.

The beneficiaries were Yayasan Kebajikan SSL Haemodialysis, Ci-Hang Cempaka Welfare Association Selangor, Pusat Penjagaan Anak-Anak Cacat Taman Megah and SJK (C) Yuk Chai.

A total of 75 golfers took part in the competition. Petaling Jaya North Community Service Centre chairman Datuk Dr Wong Sai Hou gave away the prizes to the winners.

Organising chairman C.C. Liew said the event started off 10 years ago as friendly match.

"Later we decided to raise funds for charity. The response was encouraging this year. We are glad that people are aware of the importance of helping the less fortunate," said Liew.
