Double standards in DAP-Why the sudden change of attitude towards the MACC?
Does Pakatan really believe that they are free from corruption, or are they selective about what they want to believe?
The actions of DAP Member of Parliament for Serdang Teo Nie Ching and other DAP leaders are ridiculous. They constantly criticized the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) of not having any credibility and that it will always favour Barisan Nasional and that is why no BN leaders are investigated by the MACC. However, when Teo Nie Ching's assistant was reported to be involved in corruption, she is suddenly siding with the MACC's report that he is innocent. Why her sudden change of attitude towards the MACC?
If it was a case which involved a BN leader, her response would immediately be that the MACC will clear the BN leader of any wrongdoing and that the MACC is not trustworthy.
But now seeing that the MACC has cleared her and her assistant of any wrongdoing, she suddenly claims that the MACC is credible after all.
It was reported that the Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng had lodged a report at the MACC headquarters on Wednesday afternoon claiming that Teo Nie Ching and her assistant were involved in receiving kickbacks of RM500 of the RM1,000 paid to the landlord by the Selangor state government for the rental of Teo Nie Ching's service centre since January 2009 to March 2011, thus earning more than RM18,000 in 2 years.
This is an example of their double standard practice. When a situation is deemed to be in their advantage, they trick the public into believing that the MACC is responsible, but when the case is against them, they scream and shout that the MACC is unfair.
Thus, Teo Nie Ching should make her stand clear once and for all on whether she finds the MACC to be credible or not, and if she does then she should make a public apology to the MACC for doubting their credibility in combatting corruption.
This is not the first time where Teo Nie Ching and other DAP leaders have displayed their double standard attitude, so much so that it seems to be a part of DAP's political philosophy and way of life. Therefore, the conclusion that can be made is that DAP is the one which suffers from a lack of credibility.
