Felda allocates RM220m for nationwide water supply upgrade
BERA, June 29 Felda has set aside over RM220 million for an upgrading exercise involving the water supply at all its land development schemes throughout the country.
The exercise, which is to be completed by years end, will ensure that all settlers have access to clean piped water, its chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad was quoted as saying by national news agency Bernama today.
He added that the majority of water pipes in the Felda land schemes, especially those in Pahang, were over 25 years old and needed to be replaced as they had either fallen into a state of disrepair or had rusted away.
