PAS is imposing its values on others in depriving non-Muslims of their rights to attend concerts

Amidst all the uproar over the ban on unisex hair salons by the PAS-helmed Kelantan state government, once again we see more of PAS' interference in the affairs of non-Muslims through other methods in their attempt to prevent British rock singer Sir Elton John from performing at Genting Highland's Arena of Stars.

PAS Youth Chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi had also said that PAS Youth will be submitting a memorandum to protest against Elton John's concert, explaining that this will be one of their methods in curbing "social ills".

Their attempt to enforce and impose their own Islamic values onto the lives on non-Muslims is an act which deprives the non-Muslims from choosing their own way of life as well as depriving them of their beliefs. This is a serious infringement on their constitutional rights and interests. Despite all their protests and objections, 6,000 spectators had still attended Elton John's concert last year.

With this, we can surely expect that once PAS takes over Putrajaya with the help of DAP, PAS will then set into motion a ban on all things that they consider as "social ills", such as concerts by both foreign and local artists, or at least to limit these artists with harsh rules and subject them to strict regulations.

Thus, the Chinese community and the non-Muslims should start questioning DAP Youth chief Anthony Loke whether or not he accepts the ban by PAS in preventing non-Muslims their rights to watch a concert which does not comply with PAS' values.
