Kita: Give sex tape to Karpal

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 Former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik has been asked to give a copy of the sex video linked to PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to other opposition leaders including national DAP chairman Karpal Singh.Kedah Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanahair (Kita) chairman Zamil Ibrahim said Karpal (picture) and his partners in the opposition should watch the video in order to obtain consistent testimonies on the case.We also want to know their follow-up action after watching the video. Will Karpal as Anwars lawyer defend him if Anwar is proven involved in the sex act as shown in the video.From there, we can gauge the level of morality of the opposition leaders who before this had vociferously been criticising others for alleged immoral behaviour, he said when contacted by Bernama today.Zamil said the opposition must also be willing to accept the findings if a Royal Commission of Inquiry were to be set up to investigate the authenticity of the sex video recording.He said an inquiry was necessary to demonstrate justice, especially to the people and party supporters who would want to know whether the party leader whom they had been supporting all this while was involved or not in the immoral act.Im puzzled why they dont agree if a Royal Commission of Inquiry be established to probe the authenticity of the sex video when many of them have not viewed it. I myself have not seen it, so we dont know whether Anwar was involved or not.A decision (to set up the commission of inquiry) will be the same as what happened after the VK Lingam video tape was exposed to the public, he added.Abdul Rahim had on Wednesday admitted that he was one of the three individuals responsible for showing to several journalists at the Carcosa Seri Negara, a video recording of a sex act allegedly involving Anwar and a foreign prostitute.Anwar has denied he was the ma! n in the sex video and lodged a police report over the screening and dissemination of the video, which he regards as another conspiracy to destroy his political career and his familys reputation.
