Pakatan's endless populist policies hide the fact that it will consume the nation's resources
I am disgusted at Pakatan's desperation to win the coming General Elections by proposing populist policies. Their latest promise to reduce the market price of cars is obviously made in order to win votes only as such abstract promises cannot be fulfilled, and Pakatan's failure to come up with a proper plan or framework will inevitably consume much of the nation's resources to the point where Malaysia cannot be saved.
Pakatan has always been ambitious, and they see the voters as only a means to win the federal government. Their main purpose in announcing any new policies or promises is only to win the people's votes, and as such, is lacking in details and explanations on how their promises can be implemented.
Their list of promises in the Buku Jingga merely shows that they will continue to play the role of the opposition such as objecting for the sake of objecting and announcing populist policies. This is extremely sad, as despite the fact that they are the ruling government in four states, they still continue to make populist promises without any details as to how they are going to go about fulfilling them.
However, the rakyat have now started to be aware of Pakatan's tricks and ploys and are finding it harder and harder to believe that Pakatan can implement their promises if they win Putrajaya, such as the reduction of oil prices, doing away with tolls, and the abolition of the PTPTN. Their promises are lacking in details and have no proper base, so therefore how can they be expected to govern the nation's finances properly? This is not explained in their Buku Jingga.
If ever Pakatan should take over the federal government, there will only be two likely scenarios. First is that the people's hard-earned money will be wasted as millions of ringgit will be needed to help Pakatan keep their promises, and this will almost certainly bankrupt the nation. The second most likely scenario is that Pakatan will not honour their promises and will do what they do best, which is to give all sorts of excuses by blaming the previous government.
Therefore, the rakyat should see through Pakatan's populist policies and be aware of the fact that Pakatan is only out to get votes. If they do win the federal government, they will no doubt introduce more populist policies to prevent BN from winning power again, and this will cause the nation to go bankrupt, proving the hard way that Pakatan is willing to sacrifice our country's peace and stability simply so they can fulfill their own desires.
