Loh: Other than Karpal, the rest are yes men for PAS
Except for national chairman Karpal Singh, DAP leaders are mere "yes men" for PAS, an MCA central committee member said.
Loh Seng Kok said DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng, who is the party's secretary-general, may as well step down as they had failed to stop PAS from pursuing its goal of implementing hudud in the country.
"The two Lims should surrender the party's authority to chairman Karpal Singh since all anti-PAS criticisms are solely by Karpal," Loh said in a statement here.
He accused the DAP of being afraid to disagree with PAS and said it would not be able to protect non-Muslims from being subjected to PAS' hardline doctrines.
"It becomes ludicrous that while Karpal disagrees with PAS and hudud, not one of his comrades stands in solidarity with their chairman.
"They downgrade Karpal's concerns as just his personal opinions," said Loh.
He said that while Guan Eng had declared on May 13 this year that all Pakatan parties would abide by their common policy framework, PAS leaders had rebutted the claim of the Penang Chief Minister and asserted that hudud would be implemented if Pakatan took over the Federal government.
Loh said PAS spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat had also said there was no reason for the party not to implement hudud despite disagreements of certain parties in the Pakatan.
"More than two months later, DAP has still not voiced any objection, thereby serving a slap to Guan Eng," said Loh.
