Selangor approves RM600K to erect Abolish ISA signs

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 The Selangor state executive council today approved a RM600,000 allocation to erect 56 Save Malaysia Campaign: Abolish ISA billboards across the state.In a statement, Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said the billboards will be placed at strategic locations in all 56 state seats in Selangor and are estimated to be ready within two months.The resolution to erect the billboards was approved by the state executive council during its meeting on April 1, he told a media conference today.Funds for the project, he added, would be channelled to Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI) from the Akaun Amanah Penswastaan fund.Khalid also gave assurance that the billboard installation will be carried out via open tender, soon to be advertised in all major dailies.He said the project was in line with the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) governments intention to implement an overall transformation in all aspects of its administration.It is also in tandem with the second part of the PRs 100-day reform promise, which is to abolish the ISA, he said.
