Ismail collapsed during the monthly police assembly on Friday. file picKUALA LUMPUR, April 24 Tan Sri Ismail Omar was today discharged from the Pantai Medical Centre here, following his hospitalisation on Friday due to exhaustion.The Inspector-General of Police had collapsed on Friday morning during the monthly police assembly in the Bukit Aman police headquarters.According to a police spokesman today, the 58-year-old Ismail is still on medical leave for further recovery and will only resume his duties later in the week.The Kulim-born Ismail was appointed IGP on September 13 last year, succeeding Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
