Rahim said Datuk T did not produce the sex video, and only discovered it. file picKUALA LUMPUR, April 24 Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik today said he will not seek to avoid prosecution for his part in the screening of a sex video implicating Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.Rahim was part of a trio collectively known as Datuk T, which claimed responsibility for the March 21 screening of the sex video at Carcosa Seri Negara here.On Monday, federal CID deputy director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the three may be charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code for the screening of pornographic material.So be it, as upholding the interest of the country is far bigger than facing court action, the former Malacca chief minister was quoted by state news agency Bernama today.Rahim, however, disputed the police investigation on him, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Datuk Shuib Lazim, claiming they had not created or distributed the video.The item (video) was discovered, said Rahim.Last week, Shazryl also said the trio were willing to face the music together for their part in the videos screening, after earlier claiming sole responsibility for the act.Acryl announced on Monday that police had concluded their investigation into the sex video and that investigation papers would be sent to the Attorney-Generals Chambers soon.He also said the identity of the owner of the Omega watch, alleged by Shazryl to have been worn by the man in the video, was not central to the case.A poll conducted by independent survey house Merdeka Center earlier this month, found that the majority of the people interviewed believe Anwar was a victim of character assassination in the latest sex video scandal.The poll also showed that respondents agree the video had been released to destroy the former deputy prime ministers political career.
