Hahaha ... Why not let KIMMA supervise pork production ?
Be Weary of 'Rubbish Pork' In Sausages, Dim Sum And Buns
NTV7 exposed about the low quality pork, which is known as "rubbish pork" had been used to make sausages, pork balls, dim sum and buns on 15th May 2011 in its Mandarin edition.
The Star also published that news titled "Association : Farms dishing out 'rubbish pork' dated 16th May 2011.
The article said that Sin Chew Daily reported that this activity had been going on for over 10 years, claimed the Malaysian Pork Sellers' Association.
Goh Chui Lai, the association chairman divulged that rubbish pork sale was in abundance in Ipoh, Perak and in Tanjung Sepat, Selangor.
Read more about it here.
However, Beh Kim Hee, Federation of Livestock Farmers Associations of Malaysia refuted the claim and challenged Goh to lodge a police report.
He even accused Goh of trying to bring down the price of pork products "with his baseless claims".
The issue continued when The Sun dated 23rd May 2011 reported in an article titled "Price hike to divert attention from 'rubbish pork' " is the solid proof that the recent expose' by NTV7 Mandarin edition had been true.
Hence, the government should do a thorough investigation on that since in that news, I quote :
"This is (done) partly so that everyone will not focus on the 'rubbish pork' issue," he said."
He is referring to Beh Kim Hee, the Federation of Livestock Farmers Association who confirmed to Nanyang Siang Pau on Saturday.
If the report exposed by NTV7 were true, this is so dangerous to the Muslims because we could be conned by unscrupulous sellers to buy and eat the sausages and dim sum which could be claimed as 'halal' by them or when the packaging was put the 'halal' logo when the product is not 'halal'.
For instance, the 'halal' certification for Old Town Whitecoffee restaurant is only for drinks and does not include the food served there, but I think most Muslims don't even know of that fact.
