2 for 2 thanks to the "Man"

from Wengernomics by Wenger J Khairy

After doing my rounds I now am able to make a predicition, that Barisan Nasional will win both in Galas and Batu Sapi.

The reason behind this is down to 3 factors.

Factor 1 is the minimum wage issue. As the minimum wage is a very important with voters, the Government, after being pressured by the Ketua Pemuda is begining to put in place the mechanics to introduce this form of legislation. Of course, vested parties like that man Tun Dr. Mahathir, whose children are amongst the richest people in the country, whose children had benefited from Government contracts, who refuses to disclose the amount of backstop the Government provided during the 1998 Financial Crisis, says its a bad idea because they want people to remain poor.

But try as he way, the Government knows clearly that saying "no" to the minimum wage is the same handing over the keys to Putrajaya to YAB Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Even though, brain is willing, the heart is not, so the minimum wage and the seat of power stays, for now.

Factor 2 is specific to Kelantan. Ever since the 2008 election, the Kelantanese voters have finally understood the concept of the "Pade Doh, Pakat Kelik Ngundi" message. Whilst many condemn and hurl vitriol at this campaign, in reality, this campaign message was spot on, and the only problem was timing. For the Pade Doh campaign takes the voters to a series of lows then highs. For example, in the Manek Urai campaign, the effects of the Pade Doh campaign was seen clearly, as the Government came from within a whisker away of seizing the seat from PAS.

Factor 3 is due to the growing optimism that KJ will be given a Cabinet level role in the Government. The Prime Minister, afraid of facing an angry tsunami from KJ supporters (numbering in the millions), announced that a Cabinet reshuffle was imminent, lending to speculation that KJ will be offered a senior cabinet post, either as Minister of Education, or Minister of Youth And Sports. This optimism will translate into votes if the Prime Minister continues to appear sincere in this promise.

However, the writer must warn. that the Government is also facing a serious backlash due to the meddling by Dr. Mahathir and the Mega Tower issue. Currently this issue is under control, but a lot can change in a matter of days, so we hope that Dr. Mahathir maintains his silence, if not it will be yet another case of defeat snatched from the jaws of victory, courtesy of the incessant meddling by a man who thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, when in fact, he is just another ex-dictator and should act as one.
