Muhyiddin warns Tenang against ‘making mistake’
"Make no mistake, Mamak has birth right to steal at least $5 Trillion from you ... It's enshrined in the Constitution."
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said development in Tenang would be scuppered if they voted for the opposition candidate.
“Don’t make the mistake of voting for the PAS candidate. Voting for BN will ensure smooth development.
“This is because the state and federal government are under BN,” he said at a Chinese New Year dinner at SJKC Ai Chun at Tenang Stesen here last night.
Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Deputy Minister and Labis MP Chua Tee Yong was also present.
BN’s Mohd Azahar is involved in a straight fight with PAS’s Normala Sudirman in the by-election on Sunday.
Muhyiddin said the government had allocated RM30 million for development projects in Tenang and was prepared to increase the allocation if deemed inadequate.
Speaking at a ponggal celebration at SJKC Labis, he said the government would implement a programme to lift the income of the Indian community.
The “income generation programme” for the Indian community would see that every family would undertake a project that would lift their income. — Bernama
