13th General Election: Malay/ Bumi Government
By: Susan Lim
Malaysia is unique for being multiracial but harmonious country. Weve gone through many challenges, but to break us apart is not as easy since Malaysians are mostly mature enough not to get carried away with slanders and seditions.
Unfortunately, the uniqueness of Malaysia also makes it very fragile. One wrong move could crumble everything down. The diminishing spirit of tolerance, co-operations, compassion and love, has made it more difficult for us to sustain the uniqueness of the country.
Malaysia has been able to stand tall all these years due to the ability of Malaysians to accept and uphold our constitutions. Each and every one of us understood and embraced the constitution, responsibly.
The Malaysian Constitution has taken into account all aspects of each and every one in the society by emphasizing the rights of the Bumis and non-Bumis fairly, to avoid oppression and dissatisfaction.
